This post details a minor functional change to Quoox that will be implemented on Sunday 22nd August 2021.
To date, Quoox has always sent a session reminder email upon a member booking a session. This is in line with common principals for transaction processing and as implemented by companies such as Audible etc.
We have recently had several facilities request that booking confirmations not be sent to certain members, so as to reduce the volume of communications they receive and “noise” in their in-box.
To accommodate this requirement, the existing ‘This member has approved session reminder messages’ checkbox on the member details tab will be renamed ‘This member has approved session notification messages’.
If a member does not have this box ticked, they will not be sent either booking confirmations or session reminders. Previously the scope of this box only extended to session reminders.
It should be noted that cancellation messages and waitlist messages will continue to be sent regardless of the checkbox setting, as these messages include important information for the members.
